Description
Svadhishthana, (sacral chakra) is the second primary chakra within Hinduism and Buddhism traditions. In Sanskrit (the classical language of India), Svadhishthana is a combination of two words that translate into “Place of the self”, (sva - “self” and shthana - “place”). Svadhishthana is associated with sensuality and creativity, and functions to provide pleasure and enjoyment in life. Svadhishthana, when balanced and functioning properly, makes our relationship with ourselves and the world feel harmonious, pleasureful, and nurturing. Svadhishthana is associated with the element of water, since the water element represents fluidity, flow, movement, and aliveness. The six petals of Svadhishthana represent the qualities that must be overcome, in order to purify Svadhishthana, (anger, jealousy, cruelty, hatred, pride and desire). The circles of Svadhishthana, symbolise the cyclic nature of birth, death and rebirth, and the moon symbolises chaos (never ending change).
This ring also includes within its design a curved inside surface for a comfortable fit.
