ABOUT CUSTOM REQUESTS
A NITRIDEDESIGN Custom Request is either a change you would like made to an existing products design, or a new product idea you have envisioned that you would like brought to life. When placing a custom request, you will be a part of the entire design process every step of the way, with full creative control over every design decision made.
If you are an individual, you can place a custom request by filling out the "Custom Request Form For Individuals" found in the "Custom Requests For Individuals" section of the page. Businesses can place a custom request, by filling out the "Custom Requests Form For Businesses" found in the "Custom Requests For Businesses" section of the page. It is recommended that you are familiar with the process NITRIDEDESIGN takes with custom requests, before you place your request.

THE PROCESS
Fill out the relative custom request form. In this form, you will provide all relevant details required to bring your product idea to life, such as a description of what you are after, relevant file attachments, dimensional information, and what material you plan to purchase your product in (relevant for following design guidlines for manufacturing), etc.
When submitting the request form there is a $20AUD processing fee, which covers the analysis of the proposed design, and generating the quote for the design work. This fee is also charged in order to prevent spammers, deter people who aren't serious about placing a request, and ensure some design work is covered when clients reject paying for design work. Although this is true, 100% of this fee is refunded to you when you pay for the design work, as it is subtracted from the total cost you are charged at the end.
After submitting your request, you will receive an email verifying that we have received your submission. You will also receive a copy of your submission within this email for personal reference. Your request will then be analysed by our design team, and a quote will be generated and provided to you for review.
The rate at which our design work is charged is at $30 / AUD per hour. Due to the unpredictable nature of design work, NITRIDEDESIGN will quote an estimated cost range, as opposed to an individual cost.
Example
Estimated time to complete design = 1 - 3 hrs
Estimated Cost = $30 - $90 AUD
QUOTE = $30 - $90 AUD
Real cost for the projects work can be anywhere between the minimum and maximum costs estimated. NITRIDEDESIGN will not charge for any work that exceeds the maximum limit quoted.
After you have accepted the quote for the project, NITRIDEDESIGN will begin working on your products design. Multiple prototypes of your product design will be produced and shared with you through email, alongside other design questions that come up whilst completing this process. You will then visually review these design examples presented to you, select what design features you would like kept or removed, answer any design questions asked, and further provide feedback on what changes you would like made to the design overall. The next iterations of your product design will then be worked on taking into consideration your feedback, and this process will repeat until the final iteration is complete. The final iteration is the last design you are happy going forward with.
The entire design process for every project is documented through screen recording, to act as video evidence for how long the project took to complete. This footage will be made available for you to review as evidence before you pay for the design work.
Review the timelapse recorded evidence provided to you, and pay for the design work done. When paying for the design work, the $20AUD processing fee from the beginning will be refunded in the process.
Example
Total time taken to complete design = 2hrs 20min
Total cost for work = ($30/hr) x (2hrs 20min) - ($20 processing fee)
Total cost for work = $49.90 AUD
If you do not pay for the design work done and reject it, you will not be refunded the $20 processing fee and you will also not be able to purchase the designed up product.
After paying for the design work, you will be given the option to receive the 3D model files, being the STL and OBJ file by paying an additional $100AUD.
After paying for the design work, your custom product will be available for you to purchase through a private product link, sent to you by email. Purchase the product and wait for the product to be manufactured and shipped to you.
If you would like to receive the digital 3D model files (STL and OBJ files) as well, you will need to pay an additional $100AUD to get full rights over the design / digital file.
After you receive the product, leave a review. Leaving a review will help support NITRIDEDESIGN immensely, as it will allow NITRIDEDESIGN to be aware of any issues present within the design process, (whether that is related to communication, technical skills, quality of final product, etc). Being aware of these issues allows NITRIDEDESIGN to improve and correct these areas, resulting in the improvement of NITRIDEDESIGNS service as a whole.
Leaving a review also helps future customers gain trust in the business and service, and allows future customers make decisions based off other peoples experiences.

If we enjoyed working on your products design, and are proud of how the results turned out, we may share our process on our YouTube Channel for others to enjoy or learn from. Before uploading this video however, we will first reach out to ask if you would like to be mentioned in the video as the one who came up with the idea for the design, likewise we will keep you anonymous if you would not like to be mentioned.
If we really like the way your final product design turned out, we may ask for your permission to sell your commissioned product design as an official NITRIDEDESIGN product up in the store. If you allow NITRIDEDESIGN to sell your commissioned design in the store, we will do the following.
- Refund 100% of the design costs
- Credit you in the product description for the product idea
If however you decide not to be credited in the products description,we will not mention you.

My first expectation was this ring was gonna be and feel cheap, like cheaply made, but once it arrived, that is not at all what I got, it feels so much higher quality and has nice feel to it and doesn't feel or even look cheap at all.
