Description
Anahata, (Heart Chakra) is the fourth primary chakra within Hinduism and Buddhism traditions. In Sanskrit (the classical language of India), Anahata means, unhurt, unstruck, and unbeaten. Anahata is associated with balance, calmness, and serenity, and is our centre for, love for ourselves and others, compassion, empathy, and forgiveness. Anahata is associated with the element of air, since the air element represents the qualities of love, relation, connection and compassion. The twelve petals of Anahata symbolise the twelve divine qualities of the heart. These qualities are, peace, love, harmony, empathy, understanding, purity, clarity, compassion, unity, forgiveness, and kindness. The hexagram (two triangles connected together), within Anahata represent the male and female energies intermingled together to create a six pointed star.
